2026 Methods Fair – Call for Contributions

The Methods Fair is a free annual one-day event organised in collaboration with Methods North West (MNW) taking place on Wednesday 27 May 2026.

The event brings together researchers and PGRs from across the region for a day of talks, posters, and hands-on workshops and so provides an excellent way for PGRs to network with others both within and outside the University of Manchester and learn about how methods are being used in different settings.

There are two options to contribute to the Fair – either via a 5-minute Lightning Talk or a poster – see the call for submissions here.

This year’s Fair includes workshops focused on drawing your research, zine making, the ethics of multi-lingual research, the Data Visualisation Observatory and many other contributions from across the MNW partnership.

The full programme will be released in mid-April but if you want to get a sense of previous Methods Fairs, please do visit our website.

We warmly encourage you to submit an abstract (maximum 200 words) as soon as possible and before midnight Tuesday 7 April. Any questions please email methods@manchester.ac.uk
